C&M Moving and Storage was founded in 1999 by Ron Merrill. Ron, who wrote the monthly lifestyle column, (The Good Life), in Houston’s 002+ magazine for nearly three years, is considered one of the most prominent young business leaders in the city. He was recently profiled in Entrepreneur and Southern Living magazines, and in 2002 the Houston Business Journal named C&M one of the fastest growing businesses in Houston.
C&M started in March of 1999 with a rented van and two clients: antique dealers that required nothing short of impeccable moving services to transport their precious cargo. C&M quickly gained a reputation for expert service and attention to detail, and word began to spread among Houston’s community of fine art designers. As C&M’s client base grew, it became known as the company for moving fine furnishings. It wasn’t long before Ron was counting among his clients Houston’s high-profile socialites, who trusted C&M to move the contents of their River Oaks and Shady Side mansions either across town or to another city.
Since cornering the market on the moving and storage of Houston’s fine art and antiques, C&M has grown by leaps and bounds. The company recently consolidated from three scattered warehouse locations to our current 80,000 square foot facility.
